Hello!
My name is Chelsea, and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and psychotherapist who brings warmth, commitment, deep care, and, when appropriate, playfulness to my practice.

What matters most to me as a therapist is that clients feel genuinely seen, validated, and understood, and that their experience in therapy feels meaningful and valuable. Although therapeutic outcomes can never be guaranteed, I care deeply about the quality of care and the process of growth. I work hard, I show up fully, and I am committed to supporting clients as they move toward the changes they hope for.
Although I have extensive training to support the therapeutic process and help guide our work together, I do not pretend to know everything. I see therapy as a collaborative space where we learn, notice, and adjust together.

I approach patterns and blind spots with compassion and curiosity, recognizing that everything makes sense in context—individual, relational, and systemic. This includes acknowledging my own blind spots with humility. The time and energy I put into my professional growth is matched by my commitment to personal growth, and I work to practice what I teach to others.

It is a joy and an honour to support clients on their personal journeys, and I care deeply about creating a space that fosters a sense of safety, genuine connection, movement, and healing.

What Therapy Modalities Might Work Best for You?

Have you ever taken the Myers-Briggs or 16 Personalities Personality Test? If so, it might be useful to know that "Intuitive-Feelers" and "Sensing-Feelers" tend to benefit the most from my psychotherapy approaches, while all personalities can benefit from Pain Reprocessing Therapy if you are visiting for a chronic pain concern specifically. If you are curious about your Myers-Briggs Personality Type is, you can take the free test here.

About me as a Human

I am privileged to live, work, and play on the unceded lands of the Coast Salish peoples. I keep busy with my toddler, husband, family, and friends, and I love being in nature—whether passively enjoying misty, foggy days or actively engaging in outdoor adventures. When time permits, I also enjoy dabbling in crafts, music, and the arts. I am immodestly proud that I learned to roll a kayak on my first try, and I have been known to scuba dive with the occasional shark.

As a fellow human being in my middle years, I understand that life comes with adversitis. I have experienced firsthand the debilitating nature of anxiety, ADHD, and attachment wounding, fear and hopelessness in the face of chronic pain and illness, and the devastation of heartache and grief. During my first year of motherhood, I lost two family members much too quickly and much too early. These experiences have afforded me with a visceral understanding and deep compassion for others' lived experiences and struggles.

Motherhood, in particular, has expanded my capacity for love and empathy, not only for my own child, but for all families. This has awakened in me a strong sense of social justice and a desire to understand and respond to the oppression and suffering that families face around the globe due to circumstances beyond their control.

These life experiences, together with the insights I gain from working with my clients, continue to deepen my compassion and curiosity, shaping the way I connect with and support those I work with in therapy.

With all that said, I want to thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about me. Choosing the right person to walk alongside you is important, and if it feels like this could be a fit for you, I look forward to connecting.
