Hello!
My name is Chelsea, my pronouns are she/her/hers, and people would generally describe me as warm, playful, quirky, passionate, and caring. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and psychotherapist who holds a Master of Counselling Psychology degree and a Bachelor of Health Science degree. While I have a proclivity for evidence-based practice and a passion for learning, I also find great value in setting the books aside to authentically connect with my clients, human to human. It is an absolute joy, pleasure, and privilege to collaborate with my clients and help them achieve the goals they have set out for themselves.

What Therapy Modalities Might Work Best for You?

Have you ever taken the Myers-Briggs or 16 Personalities Personality Test? If so, it might be useful to know that "Intuitive-Feelers" and "Sensing-Feelers" tend to benefit the most from my psychotherapy approaches, while all personalities can benefit from Pain Reprocessing Therapy if you are visiting for a chronic pain concern specifically. If you are curious about your Myers-Briggs Personality Type is, you can take the free test here.

About me as a Human

I am privileged to live, work, and play on the stunningly beautiful unceded lands of the Coast Salish peoples. I love plants, animals, nature, and especially hot tubs in nature. I keep busy with psychology courses and books; spending time with my baby, husband, family, and friends; outdoor adventures; and fine arts. I am immodestly proud that I learned to roll a kayak on my first try, and I have been known to scuba dive with the occasional shark.

As a fellow human being, I have experienced firsthand the debilitating nature of anxiety and ADHD, the fear and helplessness of chronic pain and autoimmune symptoms, and the devastation of heartache and grief. During my first year of motherhood, I lost two family members much too quickly and much too early. Such difficult experiences have afforded me a visceral understanding and deep compassion for others facing their own struggles. The time and energy I put into my professional growth is matched by my commitment to personal growth, and I work to practice what I teach to others.

Thank you so very much for taking the time to learn about me, and please thank yourself for investing time into choosing the right person to walk alongside your very important and sacred journey ahead. I look forward to connecting with you.
